Why choose us?

  • We're a family owned and operated business that's focused on one thing.
  • After losing and seeing loved ones survive cancer diagnosis, we realized that many people are going through the same hard times. We wanted to design cancer care kits that would take a few more thing off a caretaker's mind - or to provide a gift for someone to give when they don't know how to help. Instead of flowers, we wanted people to have something to give that was both thoughtful and helpful.
  • At Viva Kits we are committed to providing Useful Essentials. By speaking to patients and researching extensively, we have carefully curated the items in these kits to help address many chemo journey needs.

Why are cancer gift packages for chemo and radiation patients a thoughtful gift?

  • Viva Kits are carefully curated to provide thoughtful and helpful comforts for a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy. They are meant to improve the quality of life and provide a thoughtful and useful gift to someone who needs it. 
  • The products in each cancer care package were chosen after speaking with cancer survivors, cancer fighters and recommended by medical professionals. While each medical experience is different, we dove deeply to research what might be most useful to anyone undergoing treatment. 
  • Each kit is designed for a specific situation and focused on providing relief, comfort and entertainment.

How do I use a Cancer/Chemo/Radiation Care Basket?

  • Each kit comes with 30, 45 or 75 items inside. With each Viva Kits thoughtful cancer care basket comes a how-to and when-to use each item info-sheet. Some are organized by the times of the day that each kit item would be used. The easy-to-reuse box keeps the kit organized, replenish-able and reusable over and over again. 
  • No prep is necessary. Open the kit when it is needed and it will support you through your medical journey instantly. 

Extension Kits + Refills

  • Extension/add-on kits are currently unavailable but are coming. 
  • Refills are a goal for the future, but we are not currently offering this service. 

Age appropriate

  • Our wearable kit components (tuques, slippers, socks and blankets) are One-Size-Fits-Most. Our cancer care boxes are useful for most adult build and stature. Wearable kit components may not fit, very large stature or very small individuals. 
  • Viva Kits wearable components are most appropriate for men and women and people ranging from teenagers to seniors.
  • We are working on children's kits wearable components that are more personalized for their smaller stature.

I need only some of the items in one of the kits and some from another. Can I mix and match?

  • Our cancer care gift packages are designed as a tool-kit of resources to cover many side-effects that may and often emerge during chemotherapy and radiotherapy. At this time we do not offer customizable kits. Stay tuned for more kits, coming soon. 

Can I customize my Cancer/Chemo/Radiation Care Gift Package?

  • At this time we do not offer customizable kits. Stay tuned for more kits, coming soon.

Female or Male customization

  • Viva Kits are designed to be useful to both men and women going through cancer treatments. 

I produce or distribute a product that you could use.

  • We accept applications for new or better kit contents. We have a strict selection criteria and are very protective of our customers. Quality must be industry leading. Supply must be reliable and consistent. If you have ideas that would truly add value and help our patients, please let us know here.

Orders, Payment & Billing 

Can I trust you with my payment information?

We use trusted partners such as Shopify.com, McAfee Secure and Interac to ensure your information and payment details are secure. We will not share your personal information.

Can I add a personalized note to the gift recipient?

Sure, you can add a personal message to your gift recipient on the cart page in the "Order Notes" section.

Payment Methods

For ease processing, speed of shipping and your information privacy, we accept Mastercard, Visa, Apple Pay, PayPal, Amex and Shopify Pay.

Bulk Purchasing / Large orders

We limit the number of kits that can be ordered by one account. If you would like to order large quantities, please contact us here. We are happy to hear from you and arrange a larger order.

Billing Method

Each purchaser receives a digital copy of the sales invoice with all required information on it. The confirmation email will have a link to this invoice as well.

Join our affiliate program.

We are currently exploring the best venue and platform for affiliates to join up with us. The program is intended to help more people help others. We approve and work with influencers and organizations throughout the world but are selective and very protective of our clients well being.

Shipping & Delivery

Do I need to enter all my information before getting a shipping quote?

  • No, you don't. We really don't like it when we have to enter all our info just to see the shipping cost, so we use software that automatically quotes shipping price. Just enter you postal code, not all the rest to see live quotes from our shipping partners.
  • The shipping estimator can be found in your shopping cart prior to checking-out. (Just add the products you are interested in and follow the prompts on the bottom of the cart).
  • Free Standard Parcel Shipping in Canada with Canada Post for orders over $75 before tax. (Excludes Nunavut, Northwest Territories & Yukon)

Where do you currently ship?

  • Viva Kits are hand-packed and shipped from Ottawa, Ontario.
  • We ship throughout all of Canada.
  • Free Standard Shipping in Canada. (Excludes Nunavut, Northwest Territories & Yukon)
  • Buying from us involves no Customs, Duties nor boarder delays for Canadians.
  • We do not ship outside of Canada currently.

Do you ship to Hospitals rooms and Care Facilities?

  • We DO NOT recommend shipping our cancer patient care packages to the hospital
  • Patients are routinely moved between rooms or discharged early and hospital mail rooms have varying effectiveness in sorting and delivering packages. If a person has been discharged, there is no guarantee as to what would happen to your Viva Kit. Therefore, we strongly advise you to send your gift to the recipient’s home or caretaker.

How fast do you ship?

We ship our gift packages every business day. If you place your order before 3pm EST, your Kit will leave our facility within 2 business days.

How long are delivery times?

Viva Kits is an Ottawa, Ontario based company. We ship from Ottawa.

Kits ship out within 2 business days of your order. 


Easily estimate your shipping cost in our cart before entering all you info at checkout! Just enter your postal code.


All other delivery speed depend on your choice (and your location) at check-out.

We ship from Ottawa so you will pay no customs, duties nor experience boarder delays.


We use Canada Post and UPS. 

Canada Post has Regular, Expedited and ExpressPost. See the Canada Post website to estimate delivery times.

UPS offers Standard, Expedited and Express saver. 

Express Saver is the fastest UPS service we offer and it reaches most larger urban areas in 1 business day and UPS Expedited delivers in 2 Business days. 

UPS Standard is very fast for Ontario and is comparable to ExpressPost for the rest of Canada.

Please note that couriers and shipping companies reserve the right to not deliver on time in situations of extreme weather, natural disasters as well as strike-action by employees. Viva Kits does not guarantee delivery time, that is a shipping company policy and is not in our control.

Item is defective


We aim at 99.9% perfect.  Nevertheless, defective items happen despite our thorough testing and quality control. Please let us know of any issues with the kit or its components. We will replace specific defective items and ship them out at no cost to you. Please use the button above.


The box was damaged in shipping or is missing. 


This is covered. We are able to make a claim against the shipping company if a Viva Kit Cancer Care Basket was damaged before it arrived to you. 

- If you see any damage to the box such as denting, humidity or other, please do not accept the package and contact us for replacement. 

- If the box has been left at your home damaged, please let us know and send at least 2 clear pictures. We will arrange return/replacement.

- If you see that the tracking information indicates a successful delivery but you did not receive the package, please contact us


14 DAY Money Back Guarantee

Our goal it to make you happy. 

Please contact us and tell us what happened. Depending on the nature and reason for the return, we will provide you with appropriate instruction for return/replacement/shipping/packaging. For logistical reasons and to ensure a speedy resolution, a Return Authorization Number is required in each and every case. We are unable to accept packages from you unless a Return Authorization Number was issued.

Package is sealed

Easy. We will issue a refund through the same method of payment that was originally used. A refund will be issued once we receive your return. In line with industry practice, you will be refunded the billed amount for the product minus the shipping costs (we don't get those back). Retuning your package to us will be at your expense.


Package is unsealed

Unsealed kits carry a risk of cross contamination. We are careful to have our kits come in the least contact with any biological contamination sources for the safety of our customers. Unfortunately, unsealed kits are no longer usable. We may ask you to return the unsealed package for inspection.


How do I return a package?

  • We have a Free 14 day item exchange policy if an item in your kit is defective. Please follow this link to an easy Exchange Form to receive a new item asap.

Exchanges and Returns other than for defects.
  • Please contact us and tell us what happened. Depending on the nature and reason for the return, we will provide you with appropriate instruction for return/replacement/shipping/packaging. 
  • For logistical reasons and to ensure a speedy resolution, a Return Authorization Number is required in each and every case. 
  • We are unable to accept packages from you unless a Return Authorization Number was given to you.

How do I exchange a defective item in the kit?

If you receive a defective item in one of our cancer care gift baskets, we offer Free 14 day exchanges at no cost to you. Please click this button to receive a new item asap.

  • Successful delivery rate is lower to hospitals and cancer care facilities than to a home address. 
  • We DO NOT recommend shipping our cancer patient care packages to the hospital. 
  •  Patients are routinely moved between rooms or discharged early and hospital mail rooms have varying effectiveness in sorting and delivering packages. If a person has been discharged, there is no guarantee as to what would happen to your Viva Kit. Therefore, we strongly advise you to send your gift to the recipient’s home or caretaker. 
  •  Should you still choose to ship your gift to the hospital, please understand that all shipments to hospitals are made at your own risk. We are unable to guarantee or insure delivery to hospitals and you accept full responsibility if the package is delayed or lost.

I did not receive my cancer gift package

Kit never arrived

Please check the delivery timeline on your receipt email by clicking the tracking link. We always provide tracking. If the package has not arrived on time, contact us here and we will look into the situation. We will get back to you by the next business day after receiving your message.


I received the kit but didn't receive it on time

 - If we fail to send-out the package on time, we will offer you to return the kit at our expense for a full refund of shipping and purchase price. 

 - We ship Viva Kits with a firm commitment from our third party shippers that the time of arrival is going to be attained 99 times out of 100. If the third party carrier was unable to deliver to you at the target time, we will offer you a refund of the shipping cost.
